| + WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR ARTWORK? |
This guide will explain the file formats required from the most popular design packages:
- Freehand
- Photoshop
- Corel draW
- In-design
- Illustrator
We accept the ffg file formats:
- Pdf files
- Corel draw files
- Tiff files
- Freehand fileS
- Text must be converted to paths & all images to be hi-resolution.
- We do not accept powerpoint, word, excel, jpeg & gif images or any low resolution images.
- All artwork must be supplied in digital format via e-mail or on a cd or zip discs.

| + How do I place an order? |
| Once you have decided on the product, size and options where available, then click on the 'Contact Us' or 'Place an Order'' and we will contact you. |

| + Why the quantity is important? |
| Quantity is important in determining which processes we can use as some processes have minimum quantity requirements. |

| + Can I negotiate a discount for a large quantity order? |
| Yes, we welcome any discussion involving large orders. We have the expertise and capacity to deal with very large corporate orders. |

| + How long will the order take? |
| The time will depend on the size and complexity order(s). |

| + Can I order items that I haven't seen on your website? |
| Of course, we have a wide variety of high quality products not all of which might be on our website at this time. If there is something that you are specifically looking for please feel free to contact us. |

| + Can I email you artwork? |
| Email is okay for sending small files (1 to10 MB), however, if your graphic files are large in size it will probably get held up at one of the email servers on the internet. Please copy your graphic files onto a CD or DVD disk. |

| + What are common banner stands artwork mistakes and how should I avoid them? |
We provide artwork templates for all the banner stands we supply. All the templates are available to download from www.risingstarprinters.co.za. The templates are simply an empty box for you to fill in with your banner stands design.
Artwork Requirements:
- Artwork to be created @ 300 dpi
- Artwork to be supplied as PDF, TIFF, JPEG, BMP
- Artwork can be reduced to up to 1/3 of the actual size. But we always recommend you create the artwork to scale to start with then reduce to size.
- Please contact us for free and helpful guidance if you are unsure about artwork creation for large format print or banner stands.

| + What does Screen printed mean? |
| Screen printed is a process where ink is forced through a mesh screen onto a flag or banner. Best used when in need of larger quantities, cost is an issue and the colors on the design are solid spot colors. Perfect for long runs of outdoor flags or banners where durability is needed. |

| + Screen printing: Why is the amount of colors in the design important? |
| If the screen printing process is used, the more colors in the design the more labor intensive to produce and the higher the resulting cost. |

| + What are rola banners or pull up banner stands? |
| Rola banners or pull up banner stands, also refered to as retractable banner stands are a type of banner stand that has a roller mechanism that retracts the graphic into the base when it's not in use. They are very popular because they are simple to use, easy to set up, and protect the graphic inside the base when traveling or shipping the stand. |

| + What is the difference between a banner and a flag? |
| A flag is made with grommets on the header or a pole sleeve and flies horizontally on an in-ground pole/flagpole. Banners have a sleeve along the top and slide over a pole to hang vertically. These are designed to hang on a pole perpendicular to a building or on a wall. |

| + How much does an arc, sharkfin, telescopic banner cost? |
This depends on a number of factors:
- the type of banner,
- the size of the banner,
- the number of colours,
- the quantity,
- whether they are single or double sided, etc.

| + Can a arc, sharkfin, telescopic banner be used indoors? |
Yes, they are ideal for indoor trade show displays, for point of sale promotions, product launches, events and retail environments. You need to however use one of many indoor banner mounting options.
- Do I need tools for setting up my arc, sharkfin, telescopic banner?
No tools are required. Simply join the rods, slide on the banner, fasten the cord and attach it to the stand. |

| + How often should the arc, sharkfin, telescopic banner's print be replaced? |
This depends on whether it is used indoors or outdoors. We advise our customers not to use it in harsh weather conditions and to ensure there is a space clearence around them so the banners do not rub or chaff.
Keep your banner stand away from environments that can wear down graphics such as:
- Wind
- Fire
- Rain
- Moisture
- Bright light
- Dirt, oil and other harmful chemicals.
- If the banners are cared for they can last 9 months to a year but we cannot guarantee this as it depends on where they are used.

| + Can my arc, sharkfin, telescopic banner's be washed? |
| Yes, it is machine washable and can also be ironed at a cool-medium temprature. |
